What to bring

When you travel to take the EBC TESOL TEFL course, please take note of the following items that you must bring and those that are optional, but recommended so that you enjoy the course.

Mandatory for Madrid, Chania and Modane

  • Non-EU citizens: Passport (*) and a round-trip or onward travel ticket
  • EU citizens: either your Passport (*) or your EU national ID card
  • A copy of your University or College qualifications (degree certificate, transcripts or unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
  • A copy of your signed course payment receipts

Mandatory for Buenos Aires, Peru and Costa Rica

  • Non-residents: Passport (*) and a round-trip or onward travel ticket
  • Residents: either your Passport (*) or your national ID card
  • A copy of your University or College qualifications (degree certificate, transcripts or unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
  • A copy of your signed course payment receipts

Mandatory for Phuket and Amman

  • Non-residents: Passport (*) with a tourist visa and a round-trip or onward travel ticket
  • Residents: either your Passport (*) or your national ID card
  • A copy of your University or College qualifications (degree certificate, transcripts or unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
  • A copy of your signed course payment receipts

(*) MAKE SURE THAT YOUR PASSPORT IS VALID FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT SIX MONTHS. IF IT ISN'T YOU MAY BE REFUSED ENTRY INTO YOUR CHOSEN CAMPUS LOCATION'S COUNTRY!!

Laptop computers

If you have a laptop we strongly recommend that you bring it.

We provide free WIFI internet access, so you can bring your laptop and make use of our free internet access AS LONG AS your laptop is wireless B/G compatible.

Mobile/Cell phone

If you have a 3 band (tri-band) or 4 band cellular/mobile phone - BRING IT. You will find that it is cheaper to buy a pay-as-you-go card for your phone than it is to buy a new one.

Being contactable by phone is VERY important.

Recommended items for the TESOL TEFL course in any location

  • It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you take out personal accident and health insurance. Click here for some recommended insurers.
  • Scissors, notebook, glue, pens and pencils, paper clips, blue-tac (don't forget to put your scissors and other sharp objects in your check-in baggage)
  • English-(local language) phrase book and/or dictionary
  • Presentable clothes for teaching and job interviews; Business suits are required at some client sites
  • Electrical converters

    • Spain, Argentina, Greece, Peru, Thailand and Jordan operate on a 220/240 volt system
    • Costa Rica operates on a 110/120 volt system;
  • A travel alarm clock
  • Towels and Toiletries
  • Money belt
  • If you plan to stay and look for work you may need a photocopy of your birth certificate
